Alkaline Green Ginger and Banana Detoxing Smoothie

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!

I just love this new smoothie for detox.  It is so easy to make and although I used a few strawberries, YOU can use any extra fruit you like, such as blueberries.  

You could actually change the greens also.  

So let's get going and make this wonderful smoothie.

INGREDIENTS:


  • 2 cups of walnut or hemp seed milk
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1 inch of ginger, finely minced
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cu of chopped strawberries, frozen
  • 1 tablespoon of agave or chosen sweetener

Directions


  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix on high speed.  I have to say my dream blender is to buy a Vitamix blender.  If you have a Vitamix blender then you should try the Green Smoothie Fast. 
  2. Pour into a glass with a few fancy straws and WALAH you are one happy camper.  Enjoy.  


Learn Why You Should Never Eat Almonds



Do you love eating almonds? 


Almonds have been part of our diet for centuries and we are sure you have recently eaten them in this week. But did you know that they have harmful side effects as well? 


It’s really strange that you will never hear about how harmful they are to your body.  So today we are going to educate you on the many harmful things almonds can do to your body and health. 


Let’s go deeper into how they can negatively affect your body.

They can interfere with your medications:

If you love almonds you will know about it, if you are a casual eater, you wouldn’t - almonds are rich in manganese. According to
Livestrong.com, every 1 oz. of almonds will have 0.6 milligrams of manganese. 


Normally this wouldn’t hurt but if you already have a diet that is providing your body with appropriate manganese, almonds can cause problems as it will start interacting with your medication.  

 If you are prescribed with laxatives, drugs for blood pressures or are using anti-psychotic drugs, almonds can easily trigger what is known as drug interactions.

Simply put, they will inhibit your medications to be effective to their full potential. 

They can play havoc on you nervous system:


Almonds when consumed in excessive amounts can slow down your nervous system, trigger breathing problems and in severe cases, can be fatal. 


The reason comes down to the bitter almonds, those pesky ones that come along normal ones and literally make you puke. But they are also rich in hydrocyanic acid which is known culprit behind the above mentioned symptoms. 


Hydrocyanic acid is also known prussic acid and is a harmful, colorless poison that is extremely dangerous for human health. 


Trying to lose weight, stop eating almonds NOW: 


If you are working on losing your weight then you need to stop consuming almonds. Each ounce of almonds comes with 163 calories and 14 g of fat! 


You might be thinking that by eating dry fruits like almonds can help you stay away from your cravings but these little buggers can add more to your body than help it to lose some.

So when you plan out your meals, make sure you don’t forget about this little fact. 


Excessive Vitamin E is a “big no-no”: 


Our daily intake of Vitamin E is around 15 mg. However when we are enjoying eating almonds, we can easily exceed this amount and in fact if you eat them excessively, you can easily cross 1000mg. 


If our bodies accumulate excessive Vitamin E, it can cause flatulence, diarrhea, headaches and dizziness and even blurred vision. 


They make bones weak:


Did you know that
almonds are rich in oxalic acid?  Oxalic acid can reduce the rate at which our body absorbs calcium as it binds itself with the calcium along with other minerals in our intestines. 


Since calcium is one of the key components of healthy bones, eating almonds can cause you to have weak and fragile bones. Eating too much can even lead to osteoporosis. 


Almonds make kidney stones: 


 As we stated, almonds are rich in oxalic acid which binds itself to calcium to create calcium oxalate which is the foremost compound that creates kidney stones in our body. So if your diet already has oxalates in it, eating almonds can increase the amount and cause painful stones in your body.


It’s a hybrid nut! 


Recently it has been found that many foods that come to the market are synthetic or have been manipulated by scientists to increase the yield and gain more profit. 


This is alarming as foods that are advertised as organic and healthy, are not as natural and rich in nutrients. Scientists have started to crossbreed two types of almond trees (the Tuono tree and the Nonpareil tree) to create hybrid almonds.  


These new trees are self-pollinating and don’t need bees to create more plants and trees, meaning they are unnatural and will cause harm to your body.



But I love eating almonds and other nuts! What should I do? 


Almonds have been part of our diets for very long and we understand that since the earliest days of your childhood, you have been munching on almonds without any care.

By now you have to be convinced that almonds pose serious threat to healthy living. Now it’s on you as to how you make decisions regarding consumption of almonds. 


If you have been eating almonds and love them, transitioning away from them is going to be hard. However the list of nuts approved by Dr. Sebi are equally delicious, have 2x more benefits and no side effects on your body. 


Just consider hemp seeds from the above list. They are rich in Gamma-Linolenic acid (GLA) which encourages the buildup of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins fundamentally help in smoothing out our muscles, are strong anti-inflammatory and also help in managing high blood pressure, breast pains, skin allergies and more.

Bromide Plus Plus - Burdock, Sea Moss and Bladderwrack Gives you Every Mineral Your Body Needs

So here is burdock root. As you know that Sea Moss has 92 of the minerals the body needs and we add the sea moss to the bladderwrack to make the Bromide Plus Mix. So then one Queen said if you add in burdock you would get the other 10 minerals you need. 


So what are the rations you need to get the right mix? 50% of the Bromide Mix is Sea Moss with the 92 herbs and 50% is Bladderwrack.

So if you use 1 cup of Sea Moss to 1 cup of Bladderwrack you would need approximately 10 to 12 percent of Burdock powder. So one cup has 16 tablespoons of powder and so you will need 1.6 tablespoons or even 2 tablespoons. So we are talking about 10 to 12 percent of the one cup of Sea Moss, not the entire protocol. So if you make more Bromide at once, increase the percentages.

Now we do not want more as we want the perfect affect of the Bromide Mix. As we now know Dr. Sebi was adding marijuana to the mixes he gave to his clients. If you have access to this, then add some leaves.

How much do I take daily? 1 tablespoon. Dr. Sebi's Bromide mix suggests 4 capsules daily but I found the upper amount of 1 tablespoon was best.

Dr. Oz Inspired Strawberry Black Seed Smoothie

According to Dr. Oz, "Studies have shown that black cumin seed oil may be helpful when it comes to reducing inflammation in the body and improving blood sugar. Both inflammation and low blood sugar are two big reasons your energy levels could be low, so blend up this smoothie as a natural remedy. "

While the original recipe is not Dr. Sebi approved, I have created one similar that is approved, see below.

Black Seeds are so beneficial and have more than 100 nutrients and vitamins. 


Ingredients


  • 1 cup hemp seed milk
  • 1/2 cup Brazil Nut Milk or you can use all one milk of choice
  • 1 banana (frozen and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup strawberries (frozen and chopped)
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1/2 tsp black cumin seed oil
  • pinch of dried ginger
  • 1 cup ice

Note: you could use black seeds if you prefer.  1/2 tsp of oil equals 1.5 teaspoons of ground black seed powder. 

 

Directions


Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and Enjoy!


10 Reasons Why a Microwave Oven is Not Recommend on the Dr. Sebi Diet Plan

JUST SAY NO!!

Dr. Sebi's Nutritional Guide Does Not Recommend Microwaving Food Because it destroys the Nutrients in the Foods.  Daaa, there is a whole lot more to why you should not be using microwave ovens too.

Instead of using a microwave oven, go out and buy a brand new electric oven for your tabletop.  I have several for my business in my home and they are very effective.  I really enjoy the convenience and there is no need to have a big oven in your home.  The small electric ovens are  convenient and use less electric.  My home is all electric and so I never use gas anything.  See my selections below.


Reason #1 - If you are heating in plastic, the heating will transfer the chemicals to your foods.  If you must microwave, then make sure you are using glass.

What the term ‘microwave-safe’ basically means is that any chemicals leaching from the container into food do so at levels far below those shown to have any health effects.
There is cause to be wary of this claim, however. In particular, #7 polycarbonate plastic should not be used in a microwave, even if it is labeled ‘microwave-safe,’ because it leaches hormone-disrupting bisphenol A (BPA), especially when heated.”
Reason #2 - Microwave foods cause digestive problems.

Reason #3 - Radiation accumulates over time and never goes away.

Reason #4 - It can cause cancer, literally.  Carcinogenic toxins can leach out of your paper and plastic containers, right onto your food.

The January/February 1990 issue of Nutrition Action Newsletter reported the leakage of numerous toxic chemicals from the packaging of common microwavable foods, including pizzas, chips and popcorn. Chemicals included polyethylene terpthalate (PET), benzene, toluene, and xylene. Microwaving fatty foods in plastic containers leads to the release of dioxins (known carcinogens) and other toxins into your food.

The microwave will always be used by those looking for a quick way to heat foods, but it is our hope that this article will convince them and you that the risks outweigh the convenience.  Do yourself a favor and throw them out. A microwave oven is not a good thing!!

A Very Easy Strawberry Smoothie


It is that time of year for strawberries and nothing is more delicious to make than a wonderful strawberry and banana smoothie.   This smoothie is Dr. Sebi approved and must include the Bromide mix.  You can make the bromide mix yourself or simply add in 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of seamoss powder and 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of bladderwrack powder.  It gives your morning the POW you need.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon of Bromide Mix.  Learn how to make here
  • 1 tablespoon of agave
  • 3 tablespoons of hemp seeds (You can also use walnuts)

Directions:

Place the lot in the blender and blend on high speed and enjoy.

This makes a huge smoothie.  You can save 1/2 for later or use it for two people.  This recipe can be interchanged with any approved Dr. Sebi Fruit.  See the Nutritional Guide for more information.

Why Am I Sick If on the Dr. Sebi Nutritional Guide

Are you sick and tired and depressed and yet eating strictly from Dr. Sebi's Nutritional Guide?    Is it possible that anyone can be sick when the news is showing how Dr. Sebi cured every disease under the moon?  Sadly, but surely, this is true.

Well how can this be?  The problem is so many Sebians and Kings and Queens are not giving good eating habits along with the nutritional guide.

You are allowed to fry with grape seed oil.  BUT most grape seed oils on the market are low quality.  How can you have organic grape seed oil for $5.95 when the seeds cost $30 a pound?  As stated below, the oils are typically made from left over seeds when wine is made.  Finding a good quality, organic oil should be your top priority.  When I was searching for a good grapeseed oil on Amazon.com, it was hard to find.  The link above is one that is a best seller.

Anything fried is bad for your health.  Plain and simple the new guidelines on the Dr. Sebi Site is that fried foods and microwaves are to be avoided.

Dangers of Eating Fried Foods

According to Harvard/EDU  "People who eat a lot of fried foods may have a higher risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease, according to a large, long-term study."

Instead of frying, bake.  I have converted many recipes that originally showed that it was fried and baked it instead, like my Crunchy Stuffed Spelt Flat Breads.


How Grapeseed Oil Is Made

According to Dr. Axe.com.  Grapeseed oil is obviously made from grapes, but what you might not know is that it’s usually a leftover by-product of wine making. After wine is made, by pressing the juice from grapes and leaving the seeds behind, oils are extracted from the crushed seeds. 

 Oils can be made in various ways — for example, some are “cold-pressed” or “expeller-pressed” (like unrefined virgin coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil), while others require chemical solvents and a very lengthy process to draw the oils out. In order to extract the oil from the tiny grape seeds, heavy machinery and sometimes chemicals need to be used. Some modern industrial machines used to make grapeseed oil heat the oil to very high temperatures, which is the opposite of what we want, since this can destroy the oil. So for this reason, the potential benefits of different grapeseed oils depends a lot on how they were processed and bottled.

It is very important to buy Organic Grape Seed Oil that is cold pressed or expeller Pressed.  If the oil bottle does not say how it was made, do not buy.  

 The Second Problem - Packaged and Grains

If you are making fried foods and eating a lot of bread and grains and packaged pasta, where are your vitamins?  Cooking reduces the nutrient value of food and so by frying your food, you are destroying everything valuable.  Then the rest of your meal is grain based and little vitamin content also.

Spelt, Kamut and Teff flours are the most common flours used, but are they healthy?  Dr. Sebi allowed these grains in his diet, but too many people are eating lots of breads and few vegetables and thus causing the body to be toxic.  

When used in moderation, you can have grains, but you cannot be consumed with this type of diet all the time.  You must have the electric balance.

WHAT IS THE BEST BREAKFAST


Dr. Sebi said water was the best breakfast. So when you raise in the morning drink lots of spring water.   You need to drink 1 gallon of water a day.  

There are many spring waters available and my favorite is Fiji water, but there are some cheaper brands at the store.

I can't emphasize the need for Sea Moss and Bladdewrack also.  Dr. Sebi was always drinking his Sea Moss Drink.  For me I add the Bromide Plus Mix to my smoothie.   The Bromide Plus Mix is 50% sea moss and 50% bladderwrack.  You can make it at home here. 

The other things Dr. Sebi talked about much was fasting and taking his Green Food Plus.  He said he never got hungry on his fasting due to taking his green food plus in the morning.  He took 3 to 4 capsules each morning.  The reviews are very good on this remedy also.

Green Food Plus contains:
  • Nettles
  • Nopal Powder
  • Linden Flower
  • Bladderwrack

HERBAL TEAS

Too many people choose a million herbs in one tea pot.  To me, this is just wrong.  You can use the teas as needed and for the purposes that they were meant to solve.  We have the perfect mucus tea:  burdock, red raspberry, black walnut leaf and elderberry.  Then we have the dandelion root and hibiscus mixture and then we have the calming tea of anise and mint or chamomile.  Never together.  Yellow dock is nasty tasting, but has many benefits, but for me I will pass and look for some soothing teas.  I just love bladderwrack and ginger teas too.  So look for the perfect combination and experiment.  You can also add in red clover, horsetail and red raspberry together.

Oils

You cannot cook with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but you can cook with Virgin Olive Oil as it has a higher smoke point.  You can cook with organic grapeseed oil or avocado oils.  Be careful when choosing avocado oil as most are for beauty only.  Sesame oil cannot be cooked with and used only as a dressing.

Remember 1 cup of oil is equal to 2000 calories and 1 tablespoon of oil is equal to 120 calories.  So spritz the oils, do not pour.

Dr. Axe suggested using coconut oil.  In the Middle East We Mix Coconut oil with Organic Ghee.  But you could also mix olive oil and coconut oil have and half.  Again remember Extra Virgin Olive Oil cannot be cooked with, but Virgin Olive Oil can be.

Veggies and Fruits

Any veggie and fruit on the list can be eaten all day long.  You cannot go wrong by salads or soups.  If you are sick, then stick with salads and light soups.  Barley and Swiss Chard soup is good and it is healing.  After boiling the soup, strain and drink the broth only.  

Dates are also Allowed


You can have a multitude of date products such as dates, date syrup, date sugar and date sweets.  Date sugar is one of the sweeteners we are allowed to eat along with agave.  

Agave is like grapeseed oil, you can get good brands and you can get bad.  Choose your products based on reviews and recommendations.

If You are Sick

If you are sick and you know it, then fasting is only advisable when you are well enough to handle this.  Fasting is hard on the system and your body must have enough vitamins and minerals to sustain it during a fast.  We always suggest building your body up first.

Try fasting for 1 day, then 3 days then 7 days and then 12 days.  A gradual fast is advisable.  Food will always make you sicker than fasting.  Fasting is meant to cleanse the body and the colon of all toxic debris.

Cleansing

The 3 products you need for cleansing are rhubarb root, cascara sagrada and prodijiosa.  See the products below.  Add in 1 cup of rhubarb to 1 cup of cascara and 1/4 cup of prodijiosa.   Fill your capsules and take 2 to 3 capsules daily.  Do this for 7 days and stop and wait for 7 days and then begin again and do 7 days again.
